In what was arguably their most important game of the season, up to this point, the Los Angeles Lakers emerged victorious over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

They trailed by double-digits midway through the third quarter but turned the game around with an incredible 24-2 run and went on to win 123-111. Their fans were thrilled with this result.

“We are winning the NBA championship.” said a very optimistic fan who thinks the Lakers are on their way to winning the title.

“Shout out to AD for carrying us. I doubted him in some of our losses but he’s redeemed himself with this monstrous stretch in the last 2 games.” a Lakers fan praised Anthony Davis for another terrific performance.

“Above .500 for the first time this season.” a fan was happy that the team is finally above .500 for the first time in this 2022-23 season.

“Best player in the world is #3.” another Lakers fan joined in on praising Davis as he was hailed as the best player in the world.

“The new starting 5 is a problem for the league.” another fan believes that the Lakers’ new starting lineup is a problem for the NBA as they continue their winning ways.

Anthony Davis battled through the pain barrier to finish with a game-high 38 points to go with 17 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a steal. He appeared to injure his ankle in the third quarter but stayed in the game and played a big role in getting the win. LeBron James, meanwhile, did not have the best of nights, by his standards, as he ended with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal, but shot just 7-19 from the field.

His poor shooting night was compensated by the fact that the entire Lakers starting five scored in double figures. The Lakers would be hoping for this kind of production from their role players the rest of the way, as they look to climb up the standings. With this win, they improved to 39-38 and are now the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

Isiah Thomas Says None Of The Top Seeds Would Want To Face The Lakers

The Lakers continue to soar after the trade deadline and there’s no doubt they will make some noise in the postseason if they make it in. Draymond Green said they are a serious threat in the Western Conference and Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas went one step further by saying they are the one team nobody wants to face.

He feels there isn’t any team that is looking forward to playing the Lakers and that statement would have seemed absurd just a couple of months back when they seemed like a lost cause. Things have certainly changed now and GM Rob Pelinka deserves a lot of credit for that. They face the Houston Rockets next and a third straight win is very much on the cards.
