After their embarrassing loss at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder last time out, the Los Angeles Lakers responded with a comfortable 107-97 win over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. Their fans were thrilled with the result as they reacted joyfully to the big win.

One hailed LeBron as the greatest ever.

Anthony Davis led the way for the Lakers with 27 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 blocks, while shooting 10-22 from the field. LeBron James, meanwhile, had a quiet outing, finishing with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.
The two of them got a lot of support from Austin Reaves, who had 18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals off the bench. With the win, the Lakers improved to 12-9 and are now 8-2 at home.
For the Rockets, Alperen Sengun had 21 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. The usually efficient Turk shot just 8-25 from the field, though, as Davis locked him down, for the most part.
The Lakers Are Almost Back To Full Strength
Getting the win here was not the only reason to celebrate for Lakers fans, as some of their key rotation players finally returned from injury. Cam Reddish was back in the starting lineup and he had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal on the night.
Jarred Vanderbilt, meanwhile, made his first appearance of the season here and was a bit rusty, as he failed to score a point. He did have 4 rebounds and an assist, however. Rui Hachimura was also taken off the injury report but did not play in this one.
He should be back fairly soon by the looks of it and once he does, the only notable absentee for the Lakers would be Gabe Vincent. The timing couldn’t be much better for the Lakers as well, as they will be taking on the Phoenix Suns in the quarterfinals of the In-Season Tournament on Tuesday night.
LeBron had blamed the injuries for the Lakers’ early-season struggles and it will be interesting to see just how good they look when they are almost at full strength. The Suns will prove to be a difficult challenge but it presents an opportunity to make a statement.
The Rockets Continue To Struggle On The Road
This defeat at the hands of the Lakers was the third in a row for the Rockets, who have now slipped to 8-9 on the season, after starting 6-3. All three losses have come on the road, and this team is on a historic pace away from home at this point.
The Rockets are now 0-8 on their travels and are the only team yet to pick up a road win this season. Their next game on the road is against the Denver Nuggets, so it is safe to say they’re probably going to drop to 0-9.
They are a relatively young team, so you would understand if they struggled a bit on the road, but not to this extent.
