The Los Angeles Lakers had a poor start to the season, but they still have a realistic chance of making the playoffs this year. They have looked like a new team after the moves they made ahead of the trade deadline, and many are high on the potential of the new-look Lakers.

The team recently got a huge win against the Dallas Mavericks, coming back up from 27 down. There is no doubt that this was a good win for the Los Angeles Lakers, and it can serve as a foundation for more winning in the future.

Some were extremely hyped, suggesting that the Los Angeles Lakers could end up being NBA champions.

Others even suggested that this version of the Lakers is better than the 2020 championship-winning team when healthy.

There is no doubt that others were simply in awe of Jarred Vanderbilt’s performance. Vanderbilt tallied 15 points, 17 rebounds, and 4 steals.

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers have the potential to be a solid team, and they will be a threat to any upper-seed team if they make the playoffs simply based on the presence of Anthony Davis and LeBron James on their roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers Could Make It Deep In The Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers as a team right now have a lot of potential, and if they make it to the playoffs, there’s no telling how far they could go. In fact, NBA analyst Skip Bayless previously claimed that the Los Angeles Lakers could end up playing the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference.

“The Lakers are 30% better without Westbrook and with all the new additions”, said Skip Bayless. “They’ll go 17-6 in their final 23 and will rise above the play-in. I wouldn’t be surprised if they played Phoenix in the West Finals”.

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers will end up making it as far as Skip Bayless’ prediction. They certainly have a long way to go before they become a Western Conference Finals team, but the talent on the team suggests that they have a high ceiling. Stephen A. Smith, for example, believes the Lakers can become a No. 6 seed.

Hopefully, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers make it far in the playoffs this year. They have a combination of experience and youth, and that can go a long way when it comes to the postseason.
