This was a great team effort by the Los Angeles Lakers, and the team had standout performances from not only Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, but also from Dwight Howard and Malik Monk. One of the things that were notable with the Los Angeles Lakers previously is the way that they didn’t play as a cohesive unit, but this game could get them started in the right direction.

The Los Angeles Lakers were without LeBron James against the Sacramento Kings, who was out due to health and safety protocols. It is quite possible that the Los Angeles Lakers will be without him for the next few games as well, and they will need to continue to win without him to keep pace with the rest of the league.

While LeBron James missing time will certainly hurt, they should be a much better team when he returns. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis will have to continue to hold down the fort, and we’ll see how they will play without LeBron James.
