Devin Booker heard all the criticism coming the way of him and the Phoenix Suns and decided to have himself a night. The star guard erupted for 58 points to lead the Suns to a 118-114 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night in a thriller. Phoenix was down by as much as 24 points but roared back to get the win thanks to Booker.

At one point, he scored 25 points in a row for the Suns, and with his 57th point on the night, he became the sixth youngest player to score 12,000 points in the NBA. The youngest was, of course, LeBron James and he along with NBA fans reacted to Booker’s big night.

“DEVHIM BOOKER IS BACK”

“best sg in the league”

“Damn that is impressive.”

“Put some RESPECT on his name!”

“He owns Zion now”

“RESPECT THE BEST SG IN THE LEAGUE.”

“What a player he’s turning out to be!!”

“Yeah he’s him. We gotta stop pretending otherwise”

“Ohh damn!! “

“Efficiency is crazy”

“He still will be horribly disrespected by everyone who isn’t a suns fan”

“Best SG in the league as much as I hate to say it”

“He’s HIM”

“He is in a tier by himself”

“respect dbook ️ ️”

“MVP NUMBERS “

“Stop playin wit book”

“He balled! Respect.”

“BEST SG IN THE ASSOCIATION ‼️”

This win would have meant a lot too, considering some of the recent tensions between these teams, and the Suns got some revenge after having lost twice to the Pels in the last week or so. The fact that it took such a huge night from Booker to get the win is a bit concerning, though.

Is The Title Window Still Open For The Suns?

The Suns looked far and away the best team in the NBA last season when they won 64 games, but it all went down the drain when they choked in Game 7 against the Dallas Mavericks in the Conference Semifinals. They just don’t seem the same this time around, and Stephen A. Smith thinks their window has closed.

Fans tended to agree with that notion as well, but a win like this one would give the team a lot of belief. They’ll need Chris Paul to start playing better if they are to make any kind of noise in the postseason, however, and it remains to be seen if he has enough left in the tank.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
