LeBron James has been the undisputed face of the league for well over a decade now, his elite ability and freakish athleticism have made him a fan favorite since he entered the NBA back in 2003. James has endless highlight dunks in his career as one of the best to ever play the game but there is one that he possibly wishes he could take back in hindsight.
In 2011, LeBron James was hardly very well-liked across the league. His decision to go to the Miami Heat and team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh ruffled quite a few feathers across the NBA and fans of a lot of other teams were desperate to see James fail with his new organization. LeBron at the time had also embraced his role as the villain a little, and that particular fire received more fuel with a certain video.
In 2011, James visited a basketball camp where he was talking with the children, giving them tips and he eventually played a few games of the knockout with them. The child in front of LeBron missed his shot, as did the King and when the kid went to take the layup, LeBron barrelled in with a thunderous dunk, knocking the kid to the floor with the force of the impact.
Now obviously, this was likely unintentional but since the child was physically fine, LeBron went on to do a little lap as everyone else present on the court collectively lost their minds. While it’s unlikely that the kid felt too good about it afterward, that is a story that will last for a lifetime. After all, there are not that many normal people who can claim that they were dunked on by LeBron James himself.
