LeBron James came into the NBA with the weight of massive expectations. Even before entering the league, James was dubbed ‘The Chosen One’, the heir apparent to Michael Jordan as the face of the NBA. But LeBron knew he would reach the highest levels of the game even before he got there.

During the 2005 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons, LeBron James was at one of the games and was interviewed. When asked about missing out on the playoffs, LeBron seemingly guaranteed that he would reach the NBA Finals soon enough.

“Really disappointing. But I gotta take my bumps and bruises, just like everybody else to finally get to the playoffs, Imma be here very soon”.

LeBron James channeled his inner Nostradamus, as he would reach the NBA Finals just 2 years later. However, that trip to the Finals would end in heartbreak, as LeBron and the underdog Cleveland Cavaliers would get swept by the San Antonio Spurs. Robert Horry called the sweep the easiest championship of his career.

LeBron James Dominated The NBA Finals

Between 2010 to 2018, LeBron James would go to the NBA Finals each year. And during that run, he would win 3 NBA championships. But losing 7 times in the NBA Finals was something that was held against him. Reaching the NBA Finals 8 years in a row is quite the accomplishment, regardless of the results.

LeBron will be hoping to reach the NBA Finals next season. With LeBron entering his 21st season, the time is running out for LeBron to add to his championship tally. It will be interesting to see how the Lakers will rebuild the team and give James a chance to win his 5th NBA championship.
