LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers put on yet another poor performance, losing their third straight game since the All-Star break. The Lakers lost a close game to the Dallas Mavericks, despite a fairly decent performance. Fans of the Lakers are not happy with the franchise, making their voices heard after the game.

The past few Lakers games have been notable because of the fact that fans have begun booing the Lakers during this stretch. In fact, one heckling fan got shut down by LeBron James, as LeBron told him that he doesn’t know how basketball works and should not be trying to explain things to him. But fans have been booing LeBron James, something Stephen A. Smith does not think is fair.

After the latest game, LeBron James noted that he is not upset about the fact that Lakers fans are booing him and the team. In the post-game press conference, LeBron James noted that he understands why fans are booing him and the Lakers, and says he supports the fanbase and the franchise no matter what (3:40 mark).

LeBron: "I ride or die with the Lakers faithful. If they boo, I'm with them … if they cheer, I'm with them."

“I ride or die with the Lakers faithful. If they boo, I’m with them … if they cheer, I’m with them.”

Clearly, LeBron James doesn’t have a problem with Lakers fans booing him and the team. Given the way they have been playing over the last few games, no one can expect anything else from fans of the franchise. The Lakers are one of the most successful franchises in NBA history, and their fans expect greatness. So when they see their team underperforming, they make their voices heard.

LeBron James didn’t really have a bad game. James put up 26 points and 12 rebounds but wasn’t able to close the game for the Lakers. The Lakers are desperate to turn things around, as continuing to lose game could cost them a playoff spot this season.
