LeBron James Sends Heartfelt Message After Lakers Announce He’ll Miss The Rest Of The Season: “Wish It Was Done In Winning Fashion Though! Gave Everything I Had To This Season When I Was On The Floor! See Y’all Again In The Fall.”

The 2021/22 NBA season is officially done for LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar couldn’t win another championship in L.A. despite creating a terrific team before the start of the season. They couldn’t meet the expectations and became one of the most disappointing teams in NBA history.

With only two games remaining this season, the Lakers made the decision of cutting LeBron’s season earlier and start getting ready for the 2022/23 campaign, where the Lakers will try to bounce back and win that longed-for 18th championship.

LeBron reacted to the news on social media, sending a big message to fans, thanking them for the support and reflecting on what he and the Lakers did, vowing to do better next time they watch a game.

“I appreciate it and love y’all love! Wish it was done in winning fashion though! Gave everything I had to this season when I was on the floor! See y’all again in the fall. #Year20 #SFG #KingMe ,” he tweeted.

LeBron has been under fire after the Lakers were eliminated from play-in contention this week. The San Antonio Spurs cashed in on their failures and secured a spot in the mini-tournament, where they’ll try to make it to the postseason.

On the other end, the Purple and Gold have a lot of work to do, especially regarding their roster. The Russell Westbrook fit with LeBron James didn’t work and that’s something they need to figure out in the offseason. Russ has been linked with a move away but also a buyout in recent days.

They have to figure work on some things during the offseason to be able to assemble the best possible team to compete next year.

The 2021/22 NBA season appeared to be an exciting one for the Lakers, but many factors played against them, leaving them with no chance of even making it to the play-in tournament.
