Being the very best in the world of sports requires a level of sacrifice that is very difficult for players to make. Often, this leads to some of the very best players becoming solely focused on furthering their careers and not using the massive platform they have. This is one thing that LeBron James cannot be accused of though, the King has been quite conscious about the issues facing various communities and has often spoken out in support of them.

In addition to this, LeBron will often also share positive messages on his social media, something that he also did on Tuesday night on Instagram. James had to deal with his son’s account getting hacked on Instagram recently but that hasn’t messed with his belief in people, as he shared a powerful message about love and hate during the uncertain times that we currently live in.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his religion, or his background. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

LeBron has been a massive advocate when it comes to issues of racial inequality and the struggles of minorities in America. At a time when the world is growing more polarized by the day, a message like this coming from someone that much of the youth looks up to can have a great impact.

LeBron enjoyed a productive return to Cleveland during the All-Star Weekend, hitting the game-winning shot and making the most of his time with not only his fellow greats of today but the various greats of the past. James will need to harness his energy for the rest of the regular season now, as he aims to carry his Los Angeles Lakers into a better position for the playoffs.
