Forward LeBron James is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and he has accomplished a lot both in the league and on the international stage. After Team USA’s recent loss in the FIBA World Cup in Germany, there have been many clamoring for James to join the squad for the 2024 Olympics.

A recent Instagram comment from LeBron James sparked speculation that the star might end up joining the 2024 Olympics team. Underneath a Sportscenter post featuring a potential roster of top NBA superstars on Team USA, LeBron James posted a comment with the “eyes” emoji, which led a lot of people to believe he is suggesting he could take part in the 2024 Olympics.

There is no doubt that a lot of fans would love to see LeBron James be part of the next iteration of Team USA. The team obviously needs to avenge their loss in this FIBA World Cup, and assemble a more talented team to defeat their international competition.

This past season, LeBron James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game, while shooting 50.0% from the field. He is still a dominant player, and could help the United States get a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.


LeBron James Might Not Play In The 2024 Olympics Unless Asked To By Nike

Generally, a lot of older superstars don’t participate in Team USA, as they prefer to spend their offseason recuperating and preparing for the following season. In fact, Robert Horry suggested that LeBron James and Kevin Durant might not play in the 2024 Olympics unless Nike asks them to.

“Hey, it depends on what Nike says. If Nike tells those two guys to get their a**** out there and we’re gonna give you x amount of dollars, they are going out there.”

It will be interesting to see whether LeBron James will end up suiting up for Team USA in the future. A financial incentive from Nike could definitely be a motivating factor for him next year, and we’ll see what ends up happening.


Paul Pierce Thinks That LeBron James Will Ultimately Play In The Olympics

Though there is a chance that LeBron James will sit out the 2024 Olympics, there are definitely good reasons for him to go. It will be his last chance to compete with Team USA, and Paul Pierce believes that is the reason James will play in the 2024 Olympics in the future.

“I really think LeBron [James] is going to go. I think LeBron will be there. This will be his final Olympics…I think he’ll go to the Olympics.”

A lot of fans would love to see a legendary player like LeBron James make one more appearance on the international stage. He is beloved worldwide, with plenty of fans in every country. Hopefully, we do see James suit up, but even if he doesn’t, his basketball legacy is set in stone.
