LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers keep struggling during the 2021/22 NBA season. They suffered another big defeat on Wednesday night, this time at the hands of the inspired Minnesota Timberwolves. The Purple and Gold visited Target Center trying to end their recent bad streak, but Karl-Anthony Towns picked things right where he left them and dropped 30 on the 17-time NBA champions.

It was a sweet night for the T-Wolves, who trolled the Lakers during the entire game. Patrick Beverley had a field day against them, calling them trash, while also disrespecting LeBron James. It wasn’t an easy night for the King, who once again showed his unhappiness with the team.

During the 3rd quarter of the game, Bron was already frustrated with the team, and when the defense didn’t even try to bother a player under the rim, he simply disconnected. Malik Beasley attacked the rim, but it was all a trick to find Jarred Vanderbilt. The forward took the ball and dunked it, getting two easy buckets for his squad.

Nobody tried to stop him or jumped with him, allowing him to score the easiest two points of his career. LeBron didn’t like any of that and his body language confirmed he was anything but happen with that action. He raised his hands, asking for a sub. James didn’t want to be there and didn’t even bother to return to the offense, as only four Lakers players tried to score in the next possession.

This situation is getting worse for the Lakers. LeBron has had incredible individual performances recently, but the team hasn’t been able to help him get wins. The Russell Westbrook experiment hasn’t worked, Anthony Davis has been sidelined most of the season and the rest of the squad can’t level up to help Bron.

Right now, they rank 9th in the Western Conference standings, which would grant them a play-in position. The 17-time NBA champions won’t do much for the rest of the season. Perhaps they make it to the first round of the playoffs, but seeing the way this team is playing right now, it doesn’t seem like they will have a big chance against the top teams in the West, no matter how great LeBron plays.
