The Los Angeles Lakers acquiring Russell Westbrook via trade was an amazing move. Westbrook is a former MVP who can get you a triple-double on any given night. However, what is obviously going to be needed for the Los Angeles Lakers’ big three to thrive is 3PT shooters. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook do very well with better spacing, and the Los Angeles Lakers have recently made moves to acquire some help in that department.
It has recently been announced that the Los Angeles Lakers have signed both Trevor Ariza and Wayne Ellington, both of whom are solid shooters. Wayne Ellington and Trevor Ariza shot 42.2% and 35.0% from 3PT range this season respectively, and it is clear that their addition to the team will help the Lakers stars.

There are often free agents who decide to take smaller deals in order to be part of a championship-level team, and that seems to be the case here. Shooters get paid in the NBA: but it seems as though some are willing to sacrifice to join the Los Angeles Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers have also recently got Dwight Howard, and there will likely be more people who will join LeBron James and the team. Both players mentioned here can do a lot for the team with their shooting ability, and it should be exciting to watch them play with two elite playmakers.
