DeMarcus Cousins could be making his return to the NBA if he succeeds in impressing the Los Angeles Lakers next week. The former All-Star center has been wandering around the league after he left the Sacramento Kings and injuries really took a toll on his body.

Cousins was expected to be a great player in the league, and while he had to deal with so many things during his career, he never stopped trying. Boogie could make a big impact on teams, but when things started to get better for him, another injury happened, ruining his chances to keep getting big contracts and play important minutes.

The last time he played in the league, he defended the colors of the Denver Nuggets, but the team decided to add another veteran and let Cousins go in the offseason. A lot has been said about Cousins’ future, with some even placing him in Taiwan, something he denied.

DeMarcus Cousins Could Have Another Shot In The NBA

Cousins also claimed that he would like to join his former team, the Sacramento Kings, and help them reach the NBA playoffs after so many years without playing in the big party. However, his immediate future has him on the Los Angeles Lakers, as Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report writes that the Purple and Gold will bring him for a workout next week.

Anthony Davis, who is rehabbing a stress injury to his right foot, will be taking a significant step forward in a few days by testing out his foot on the court in an individual workout.

Four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins is expected to work out for the Los Angeles Lakers at some point next week, league sources tell Bleacher Report. The official date has yet to be determined, sources say.

This would be good for the Lakers, who are missing Anthony Davis after the big man picked up another injury. Cousins was previously linked with the Brooklyn Nets, but none of that happened, so he could join the Lakers now. The Purple and Gold are trying to improve their roster with free agents, and perhaps this center could help them compete for the rest of the season.
