Luka Doncic is certainly in the spirit of giving for Christmas this year. Doncic surprised Dallas Mavericks players, coaches, and support staff members by gifting each of them a Mercedes-EQ electric bicycle, reportedly worth between $2,500 and $3,000.

Everyone received their surprise gift after the Mavericks’ 144-119 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night. When they got back to the locker room from the court, they found it flooded with bicycles.

Guard Dante Exum said it was a great gift and hilariously stated that the post-game meeting was rather short, as everyone was excited about the bikes. Rookie Dereck Lively started riding inside the arena itself, as did Tim Hardaway Jr., who rode it to and from the interview room.

Hardaway also said this was a better gift than what they got last year and if you’re wondering what that was, I got you covered. In 2022, Doncic gifted his teammates Segway scooters.

Doncic certainly seems to have a thing for electric vehicles. Considering the four-time All-Star upgraded to bicycles this year, I wonder what his teammates will get in 2024.

Luka Doncic Had His Coaches Do Push-Ups After Hitting An Insane Half-Court Shot

Doncic and Mavs assistant coaches have a bit of ritual during warmups, as the coaches bet push-ups on the 24-year-old not making a shot from halfcourt. They’ve lost that bet a fair few times by now and it happened again before the game against the Spurs, as he drilled a ridiculous shot on his first try.

While some might dismiss this as just pure luck, he actually seems to practice these no-look shots. Last year, Doncic called it the ‘No Luka’ shot while drilling it first time during an appearance on Dude Perfect. That’s not to say he doesn’t miss at all, as just earlier this season he had to do push-ups after failing to connect from halfcourt.

That’s a fun little exercise they have got going before the games. As for Doncic’s performances in the games, he has been phenomenal this season.

The Slovenian is averaging 32.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 9.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game so far. If he keeps it up, those would be career-highs for points and assists per game and Doncic is also currently shooting a career-best 38.0% from beyond the arc.

He has led the Mavericks to a 17-12 record despite Kyrie Irving having missed almost half of the season at this point. Unless the Mavs start to nosedive at some stage later in this season, Doncic is going to be a strong contender for MVP for the first time in his career.

He has a chance to make a statement on Monday night when he and the Mavericks take on Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in their Christmas Day game. There tends to be some drama whenever Doncic and Booker face off, which makes this contest a must-watch.
