Luka Doncic made an incredible shot to win Game 2 for the Dallas Mavericks, making a dagger three over Rudy Gobert. After the shot, Luka went back up the court staring and screaming at Gobert that he couldn’t guard him. Doncic was feeling incredibly confident after an incredible shot over the reigning DPOY.

“Motherf*cker! You can’t f*cking guard me!”

After the game was over, just a few moments later, Luka continued to mock the Timberwolves and talk trash, telling them and the rest of the crowd to go home after he helped the Mavs win a second road game.

“Yeah! Go home, b*tch!”

After the game, Doncic spoke with the Inside The NBA crew and talked about being guarded by Gobert. Luka joked that while he wasn’t the fastest player, he was certainly faster than Gobert, and he used that to his advantage.

“I think it depends on who is guarding me… I mean he is long, you know. He can’t move. I can’t move fast, but I can move faster than him. Like I said, just get to my spots, man.”

Doncic was absolutely spectacular tonight, putting up 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds, as he led the Mavericks to another win. Luka was crucial for the Mavs, as he helped Dallas overturn an 18-point lead and steal Game 2 on the road. Doncic and the Mavericks will now look to protect their home court and seal the series in four games to reach the NBA Finals.

Doncic had a near-perfect game last night. Not only did he put up a triple-double, he shot 45% from the three-point line, making 5 of 11 threes, including the dagger that closed out Game 2.

Doncic was helped greatly by Kyrie Irving, who put on yet another strong showing, with 20 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. While Kyrie was poor from the free-throw line, going an uncharacteristic 2 for 5, he more than made up for it with some big shots, which helped the Mavericks stay in the game when the Timberwolves retook the lead in the fourth quarter.

Luka Doncic Showing His Greatness In The Playoffs

Doncic continues to be incredible in the playoffs, putting up his fourth consecutive 25+ point performance. In the Western Conference Finals this year, Doncic is averaging 32.5 points, 11.0 assists, and 8.0 rebounds per game. If he can continue generating these kinds of numbers, the Mavericks will be able to reach the NBA Finals.

During this playoff run, Doncic has averaged 28.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 9.3 assists. To average nearly a triple-double in the playoffs is incredible, and something that is a rarity in today’s game, and Luka is showing fans why he is considered one of the best young players in the game.

Doncic surpassed Amar’e Stoudemire recently for the highest points-per-game in Western Conference Finals history, with 32.2 points per game after Game 1. His numbers will remain high enough for him to keep that spot after Game 2, and he might even go higher by the time this series is over.

For Luka and the Mavericks, they have the chance to go to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2011, when Dirk Nowitzki, a fellow European, led the Mavs to their only NBA championship. If Doncic can continue playing at the high level that he is, he might be able to replicate the success of his former teammate.
