The Los Angeles Lakers have managed to improve their team once again, by adding Russell Westbrook to the squad. They now have a big three who is hungry to bring another championship to the franchise. However, a crucial question this offseason was whether the Los Angeles Lakers could find a way to fill out their roster with good depth.

It seems as though they have succeeded. Malik Monk has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Monk gives them a solid shot creator who can be a good source of scoring whether coming off the bench or as a starter. During the 2020-21 season, Monk averaged 11.7 PPG while shooting 40.1% from beyond the arc.

Malik Monk’s shooting will certainly be helpful to LeBron James and Russell Westbrook, and he will certainly benefit from their amazing playmaking. The Los Angeles Lakers have added other veteran free agents such as Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard, and it seems as though they are ready to make another run.

The key with Malik Monk is his ability to potentially take on a larger offensive role if needed. If he is able to do so in crucial moments in the playoffs, then he will be a steal for the Los Angeles Lakers.
