The Miami Heat have made a great start to the season. They are truly playing like a great team this season and might make it all the way to the NBA Finals once again. While that was the type of basketball the Heat were playing up until their matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

They were completely overwhelmed by the Nuggets, as the Heat lost the game by 17 points. It was a truly disastrous performance from the Heat and they will hope to brush this off and concentrate on what comes next for them.

Considering this underwhelming performance, many players were rightfully frustrated during the final few minutes of the game. The pent-up frustration was released around the 2 minutes mark in the fourth quarter.

After Bam Adebayo failed to score against Nikola Jokic, it led to a transition play in favor of the Nuggets. To prevent that Markieff Morris decided to stop Jokic in his track. He chose the old-fashioned way of fouling the player pretty hard. He elbowed Jokic, which led to the Joker losing his cool.

Jokic then shoved Morris pretty hard, and he was sent flying to the floor. Upon closer look, it felt like Jokic waited until Markieff turned his back to launch his attack. Markieff’s twin brother Marcus Morris called out Jokic for this and tweeted about it.

“Waited till bro turned his back smh. NOTED.”

Jokic might have used too much force in getting back at Markieff. He even explained why he shoved Morris

While Jokic might have come out as the bad guy here, there is one thing that we cannot overlook. It was Markieff who started the beef. He fouled Nikola harder than needed which led to the other drama.

Moreover, the Morris twins have a reputation for sometimes using dirty methods to get their way. There have been many occasions when the Morris twins’ tactics have injured players, which is something no one wants to see.

At the end of the day, let’s hope the beef is now over and the next time Jokic faces off against either of the twins, they do not try any underhanded methods to get back at Jokic.
