At first, it seemed like the Boston Celtics might run away with the best record in the NBA this season, and then suddenly, they had a mini-collapse, which left many scratching their heads. The Celtics were 21-5 after a big win over the Phoenix Suns and then surprisingly proceeded to lose 5 of their next 6 games.

There was some concern among Celtics fans, but the team responded by beating the  Minnesota Timberwolves and then got a big win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas. The fans were delighted with the win, but they soon had something else to be worried about, as Marcus Smart tweeted that he had something to get off his chest and followed it up a few minutes later by saying it was time for him to leave.

“Guess what …………”

“I’ve had enough. Been holding it in too long and it’s about time this gets said ….”

“It’s time for me to leave …”

There was suddenly some panic among the fanbase at the thought of the reigning Defensive Player of the Year wanting to leave the team, but Smart was just doing a bit of trolling! He announced a few minutes later that he got engaged, and the fans breathed a sigh of relief.

“Oh I forgot the rest… Time for me to leave the single life. She said YES!!! (Whew)”

That is one amazing Christmas present, and we are delighted for him and his now-fiancee, Maisa Hallum. The couple has been dating for a few years now, and it was time for Smart to leave the single life.

Will Marcus Smart Get A Championship Ring On His Finger Next Year?

Smart will certainly be hoping that he gets a championship ring on his finger next year to go with this one, and the Celtics, that bizarre 6-game stretch aside, have looked like the best team in the NBA.

Jayson Tatum was at his dominant best in that win over the Bucks and is making a strong push for MVP. He has also performed exceptionally well against the other MVP candidates this season, and the Celtics will be hoping that he keeps this up. They desperately want to get their hands on that title after getting so close last season, and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they go and win it.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
