Mark Jackson had a decent NBA career, showing his talents for several teams over a 17-year span where he became one of the best passers in the game. Although he never reached big individual success, he always contributed to his teams.

Jackson had a lot of stories to tell about his time in the league, but we’re pretty sure people ask him a lot about his late brother, AND1 legend Troy ‘Escalade’ Jackson. This can be a shock for people who don’t know Escalade and Jackson were related, but they had a pretty good relationship that Mark treasures to this day.

Talking with Shannon Sharpe on his ‘Club Shay Shay’ show, the former New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers former player paid tribute to his brother, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 35.

Jackson always remembers the great person Troy was and how impactful he was for other people. He said it was a shock to have a little brother nine years younger than him, but he and his sister embraced that situation.

The former Golden State Warriors head coach made it clear he was really proud of his brother and how great he was both on and off the court.

Both Mark and Troy left a mark on the game. While the current ESPN analyst made the NBA change one rule, his little brother proved that being too big wasn’t a problem to become a legend of the AND1 tour.
