  • Jordan emphasizes mental imagery to perfect shooting mechanics
  • He suggested an exercise that will help players correct their technique
  • Jordan also said that having the fundamentals nailed down is the key

Basketball icon Michael Jordan shared an unconventional yet effective tip for improving your shooting technique – all while comfortably lying in bed. This unexpected approach to refining your shot has caught the attention of athletes and fans alike, offering a fresh perspective on skill development.

In an old video that seems to have resurfaced, Jordan explains how players need to practice free throws, and he even suggested an exercise that they can do from their bed:

“When you’re laying at home at night and you’re really bored, take your basketball which you’re probably sleeping with if you’re a basketball player, and shoot straight up.”

“Lay your head on the pillow, shoot it straight up, and try to have the basketball come back on your nose. If you can do that and do it with some consistency, then you get the current form of a shot, not just a free throw, a shot in general, and the best way to do that is take it and finish it.”

Michael Jordan’s unexpected advice offers a valuable lesson in skill development. Jordan suggested that this can help players perfect their form, and they can even fix any chinks in their shot. But he also said this technique may not work for each and every player.

Michael Jordan Had A Beautiful Jump Shot

Michael Jordan’s jump shot was more than just a basketball play; it was a visual symphony that captivated audiences with its elegance. From the moment he launched himself into the air to the effortless flick of his wrist as he released the ball, every aspect of Jordan’s jump shot was a work of art.

The arc of the ball, the extension of his legs, and the extension of his arm combined to create a sight that was both awe-inspiring and mesmerizing.

Behind the apparent simplicity of Jordan’s jump shot lay a meticulous science that he had mastered to perfection. His attention to detail was unparalleled – the positioning of his feet, the alignment of his body, and the balance he maintained were all crucial elements that contributed to the shot’s consistency and accuracy.

Jordan’s endless hours of practice and dedication were the driving forces behind his ability to replicate this flawless motion time and time again. While the physical execution of Jordan’s jump shot was a sight to behold, his mental approach was equally remarkable.

The confidence and unwavering belief he had in his shot were integral to its success. Whether he was facing a defender or taking a last-second shot, Jordan’s mental fortitude allowed him to execute his jump shot with unwavering precision, even under the most intense pressure.

Though Michael Jordan’s playing days may have come to an end, the beauty of his jump shot lives on as a testament to his greatness. Even today, highlight reels and documentaries showcase the elegance with which Jordan soared through the air and released the ball, leaving defenders helpless and fans in awe.

His jump shot remains an enduring reminder of what is possible when talent, dedication, and artistry converge on the basketball court.
