Miles Bridges’ Friend Warns Charlotte Hornets About His Future, But Quickly Edited His Caption On Instagram: “If Charlotte Don’t Drop The Bag We Going To The Pistons”

Miles Bridges enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Charlotte Hornets in the 2021-22 season, and he now wants to get paid. Bridges averaged over 20 points per game in the season to go with 7 rebounds, and he now wants to parlay that into a max contract.

The Hornets, however, seem to be unwilling to offer him the max despite the fact that Bridges provides some good perimeter defense to go along with his offensive production. A player with his profile is very much in demand in the league, and his friend fired a warning shot at the Hornets regarding his future on Instagram before quickly editing his caption.

He wasn’t quick enough when it comes to editing it, though, as fans had already captured the post with the original caption, and by the looks of it, the Pistons are interested in Bridges. We are sure he didn’t appreciate his friend putting that out there, and he should have followed the old adage of thinking twice before posting stuff on there.

As for the Pistons, Michigan is where Bridges was born, so he would welcome the move should they approach. They have already had a very successful draft, landing Jaden Ivey to go with Jalen Duren and getting Bridges via free agency would be another step in the right direction. Those three, along with Cade Cunningham, who had a great end to his rookie season, could make the Pistons a formidable team in the years to come.

The Hornets, meanwhile, have to find a way to get him to resign. They need to surround LaMelo Ball with more talent, and letting Bridges walk would be a big blow. They have already missed the playoffs in each of the last six seasons, and that streak will almost certainly continue if they let him leave in free agency.
