Montrezl Harrell Laughs At Clippers Giving Luke Kennard $64 Million

2 Min Read

The LA Clippers are gunning to make amends for their disappointing run in the 2019-20 campaign. Considering Kawhi Leonard’s refusal to commit long-term, and their current status as the laughing stock of the league, it’s fair to say the pressure is on for them to meet expectations this season.

So when they inked Luke Kennard to a $64 million extension on Monday, it was a highly controversial move, especially considering some of the players they let go just a few months ago.

Their former player, reigning Sixth Man of The Year Montrezl Harrell, delivered an epic response to the news, laughing at the seemingly out-of-nowhere deal for the 9.8 points per game scorer.

While Trez has yet to confirm what happened between him and the Clippers, he has hinted that they were the ones who decided to ultimately let him walk in free agency, prompting the big man to ink a deal with their biggest rivals.

As for Kennard, many fans believe the money should have gone to someone else, as the 24-year-old guard has yet to prove he can be is a consistent and reliable scorer in the NBA.

Trez and the Clips are on opposite sides this season, and it’s clear this dynamic will be among the biggest storylines in the league. But we’ll see soon enough who gets the last laugh in the end.
