Point guard Damian Lillard is one of the best superstars in the game right now, and he is a versatile offensive presence on the court. He is highly regarded around the league, and many have spoken out and praised Lillard’s talent.

Something that is well-known about Damian Lillard is that he is loyal to the Portland Trail Blazers. However, some fans desperately want to see Lillard traded to a franchise where he can compete for a championship. In fact, a fan recently pleaded with Damian Lillard for him to request a trade.

“Bro, I’m so tired of hearing this as a fan. Bro just get traded nobody gone judge you. The Blazers never put a solid team around you. You deserve better you should want better for yourself,” said the fan.

There’s no doubt that seeing Damian Lillard on a legitimate contending team would be amazing for fans. However, there is also something to be admired about his loyalty, and perhaps we’ll finally see the Portland Trail Blazers give him a better chance to win in the future. They’ve made solid moves such as acquiring Jerami Grant, but it clearly wasn’t enough.

As of right now, Damian Lillard is averaging 32.2 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 7.2 APG for the Portland Trail Blazers. Hopefully, we see him continue to play at a superstar level and get to the playoffs during the next few years of his career.

Damian Lillard Could Be Shut Down For The Season

It was previously reported that the Portland Trail Blazers could shut Damian Lillard down for the season if they make no upward movement in the standings. The Trail Blazers look like they will be out of the play-in tournament race soon, so that could happen relatively quickly.

“Dame probably has five or six more games left before Portland probably shuts him down for the season. There’s no use playing the duration of these games. So look out for that. If these next five, or six games, they keep struggling, I will suspect… He’s going to have to be okay if they’re not in contention to jump in that play-in. At that point, it’s probably not worth it. That’s why I’m saying these next five, six games, we’ll see if they can make some ground. If they don’t make any ground, I think that’s what’s going to happen. If the results are not that good.”

This could be a smart move from the Portland Trail Blazers, and perhaps getting a good pick in the lottery this season can help them build a better roster next year. They have a number of talented young players, such as Cam Reddish and Shaedon Sharpe, and hopefully, they can develop into great players so the Trail Blazers can become an elite team.
