NBA Fans Are Pissed Off After Kobe And Gigi’s Mural Gets Replaced

2 Min Read

NBA fans can’t be more upset after a mural of the late Kobe and Gianna Bryant was replaced. Twitter user ‘Kevin Gross’ posted two pictures, one where you could see one mural of Kobe and Gianna, who passed away last January 26 in a helicopter crash, and the second photo of some sort of reminder for people to stay home during the coronavirus crisis.

This pissed off a lot of fans, who were quick to show their anger with the new mural, calling it disrespectful and other adjectives.

Even when one person stated the painting was temporary, Kobe’s fans said they could do that in a different place.

“It was a temporary installation. This artist, Mr. Brainwash, uses paper and wheatpaste which doesn’t last forever,” the user said.

Kobe was the subject of plenty of homages after he passed, and several murals were painted in his honor. So, it’s not crazy to see people asking for respect for him and his daughter. One could say there is enough propaganda urging people to stay safe and practice social distancing, but others want to give a bigger message.

If it is temporary or not, that doesn’t seem to be very important for KB24’s fans. They want to see their idol and his daughter. There are more spots to paint those messages.
