The Los Angeles Lakers’ misery continued in their recent fixture against the Washington Wizards. Coming into the game, the Lakers were already in a tough spot as they were on the verge of dropping to the 10th seed in the Western Conference.
Well, that fear of Lakers fans turned out to be the truth as the Wizards won the game with a score of 127-119. LeBron James once again had an amazing game as he registered 38 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists in 36 minutes.
Furthermore, James also passed Karl Malone for the second spot on the list of most points scored by a player in NBA history. Although James celebrated the achievement for a brief moment, the happiness faded away as his team lost yet another game.
The aftermath of this defeat is that the Lakers now have a record of 30-41 and are at risk of being knocked out even from the play-in spot. The New Orleans Pelicans are already one spot above the Lakers with the same record.
Additionally, the San Antonio Spurs have closed in on the Lakers. They won a difficult fixture against the Golden State Warriors which helped them in improving their record to 28-44. It means that the Spurs are just 2.5 games behind the Lakers.
The Lakers are now the 10th seed after the Pelicans win today.

Lbj is on track to lead the Lakers to a worser record then old Busted up MJ did with the poverty Wizards in 2001.

Fans trolled the Lakers heavily for their current record and the possibility of not making it to the postseason this season.
Well, to be honest, it is not a far-fetched hypothesis since the Purple and Gold have the toughest remaining schedule in the league right now. With the morale of the team already down, it will be hard for them to salvage anything from the remaining games.
