NBA Fans Can’t Believe Bradley Beal’s Reaction To First-Round Sweep Against Minnesota Timberwolves

Speaking to the media after the Game 4 loss on Sunday, Suns star Bradley Beal couldn’t help but crack a smile at how chaotic the situation has become. As he opened Monday’s press conference, Beal gave a four-word reaction to the end of his season, which has been making the rounds on social media.

Overall, it’s been a miserable season for Beal. After dealing with injuries all year long, he was in and out of the lineup and never found his rhythm offensively. After 53 games in the regular season, he finished with 18.2 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game on 51% shooting. And while the Suns finished sixth in the West, Beal said he has no desire to see Frank Vogel get replaced.

“I think Frank’s a good coach,” said Beal. “I think Frank’s a great coach. He’s a winner and has a ring behind him… but that’s not really a question I like answering because I’m not responsible for coaches having jobs, behind hired or being fired.”

Coming from Washington, Bradley Beal had very limited playoff experience and he was looking forward to playing meaningful games again alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Instead, they failed to win a single playoff game and coach Vogel is getting the brunt of the blame after a recent inside story suggested he’s lost the locker room.

Needless to say, Suns fans are reeling right now and the franchise has lost all direction after sacrificing their future for this current group of players. With only so many options for how they can get better this summer, the Suns may have no choice but to bring it back next season and Beal will be a major factor for them, one way or another.

What’s Next For The Phoenix Suns?

Suns owner Matt Ishbia paid the ultimate price for this roster and he spared no expense to load up his squad with high-end talent. So after adding Beal alongside Durant and Booker, they came into this season with high expectations of making a postseason run.

While the Phoenix Suns managed to secure a top-six seed with 49 wins, their campaign can only be described as chaotic after experiencing several ugly and embarrassing losses down the stretch of the season. To end things with a sweep against the Timberwolves, who have not won a playoff series in 25 years, was a fitting end to this run for the Suns and it seems they were never in a position to pose any real threat this year.

Since Bradley Beal has a no-trade clause, his contract has become nearly un-tradeable and unless he’s willing to waive it, there’s no way he’ll be on a different team next year. The only real move for the Suns is either firing head coach Frank Vogel or trading away one of their prized superstars for a package that could help them recoup their assets.

But with so many variables at play, nobody knows which way this will go for the Suns and Bradley Beal’s could make or break the next few years for this team. For now, the Suns are still licking their wounds after a brutal elimination and they will be rethinking everything when free agency begins this July.
