Being part of a superteam in the NBA is a double-edged sword for players. While it gives them an advantage and higher odds of winning an NBA Championship over their competitors, it usually doesn’t sit well with fans. Even the most beloved players such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant had to embrace the roles of villains when they formed their respective superteams.
Talking about the topic of superteams in the NBA, one might wonder, which NBA superteam truly broke the league? There have been amazing rosters that have been formed in recent history. But answering this question could be a tough nut to crack for anyone.
For some, it might be the Big 3 of the Miami Heat featuring LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. On the other hand, many will say that the superteam of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green deserves that spot.
Well, renowned Twitter account “ClutchPoints,” asked this question from their fans to potentially settle this debate. The four superteams in question were the Boston Celtics – Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen; the Miami Heat – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh; the Cleveland Cavaliers – LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love; the Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
A lot of talk about superteams and ruining basketball lately. Which superteam *really* broke the NBA?

Cavs heat Celtics were not superteams.
Only superteam in the history of the game or at least since the 2000s was the KD warriors, KD OKC and KD nets. When u have DPOY, MVPs, FMVP, top 2 shooters all time, deep benches HOF coaches ETC. that’s what makes a superteam

The best player in the NBA, A power forward that averaged 26 and 12 and a point guard who was at the time one of the best up and coming guards in the league? Hell yeah that's a super team, especially in the East the way it was. What more would you need?

LeBron to Miami. If you can't beat 'em, join up!
Then KD to GSW. If you can't beat 'em join 'em!
Just weak!

Why the bubble champ Lakers and the current Lakers are not included on superteams? 🤣😂 They are another Lebron attempt for super teams, lol

Bron/Wade/Bosh is the one that "broke" the NBA because it broke the way NBA business is done. It ushered in player empowerment and now a James Harden or Anthony Davis can force themselves to the team they want even with years on their deals.

no one. these people just couldn't get over the fact that these players just want to win a title and they just did everything they can to achieve that goal. plus, they did it through free agency. some asked for a trade but still.

Everyone saying KD and the Warriors ruined it. Despised them but wanted them to win In the 2019 finals. But what is a super team. Being a 3 headed allstar player monster? Does winning a title have to happen? Were the old spurs one? Was 2015 Hawks?

Pierce kg Ray Allen not League breaking, Bron Kyrie Kevin another really "good" team, but was not League breaking(they are my favorite on the list though), Bron wade Bosh great team but was really underwhelming to what they could do. The warriors really broke the league though.

Warriors
every other team lost/got pushed to the edge without injuries getting in the way except the KD Warriors
they only came close to losing once whereas the others got taken to 7 a few times

Steph, Klay ,KD and Dray combo has no comparison or competition … they literally brought NBA to it's feet by giving the best dynasty in probably a whole 3decades .. unbelievable men.🥵🤯

Number 1 changed the league… They all teamed up JUST to stop Kobe. Kobe still managed to beat them back but I think that shaped the landscape in such a way that lebron could follow suit.

The most common answer was undoubtedly the Warriors’ superteam, followed by the Miami Heat Big 3. There is hardly anyone who would argue with this result.
As pointed out by one of the fans, apart from the Warriors team, the other 3 were defeated at one point or another without injuries playing a major role. In the case of the Dubs, though, if it weren’t for injuries to KD and Klay, they might have three-peated.
Moreover, the dominance that the Warriors had during that time was simply unmatched. It is hard to see any other super-team utterly breaking the league.
