The current superstars of the NBA are getting old. In a few years, the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and more will retire. But the league already has a few bright stars who are ready to take over the league.

The likes of LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Cade Cunningham, and Paolo Banchero are expected to become elite players in the NBA over the next few years. But which player has the highest ceiling?

NBA fans discussed the ceilings of the four players on Twitter. Here’s what fans think about the highest ceiling among Ball, Edwards, Cunningham, and Banchero.

A fan believes it’s either Edwards or Banchero.

ANT PROB HAS THE HIGHEST CEILING I GUESS BUT DONT SLEEP ON BANCHERO MAN. DUDE IS SCARY SKILLED AND CRAZY SIZE

A fan posted an edited picture of Anthony Edwards and Michael Jordan to answer the question.

A fan provided a detailed answer to the question.

This is tough. I say Ant, but Cade is really, really good. He's the only other two-way player here. Paolo is special, and I don't think he can be stopped offensively once he reaches his peak. LaMelo will elevate his teammates offensively, but has to get better defensively.

Another fan picked Edwards because of his elite mentality.

Gotta be ANT. Best defender, best all around game, best scorer. Plus he has that beast mentality. He could be realllllly really good

A fan’s simple answer to the question.

Highest ceiling = ANT

It feels like, as of now, Anthony Edwards is winning by a landslide. Fans believe other stars also have great potential, but they do not come close to Edwards, at least for now.

The 2020 No. 1 overall pick averaged 24.6 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 4.4 APG. He’s getting better each year and could very well become one of the best players in the league in a few years.

Anthony Edwards Is Confident He Will Be In The Conversation For The Best Players In The League By Next Year

Anthony Edwards had a phenomenal year 3 in the league. He impressed the Minnesota Timberwolves as the organization signed him to a five-year $260 million extension.

Edwards wants to repay the franchise by becoming one of the top players in the NBA. The 21-year-old boldly claimed that he’ll reach that level by the end of the 2023-24 NBA season.

“I think I should be in conversations with one of the best players in the NBA. Not now, but after next year I will be.”

Now, that’s a bold claim. But can he back it up? So far, he hasn’t given any reason to doubt it. If he can become one of the best players in the league, the next step would be to lead the Timberwolves to an NBA Championship.
