There might be just a couple of names in the GOAT conversation, but the NBA’s history is littered with players that have been uniquely incredible. The Top 25 players in history is a list littered with players that changed the game in many ways with their amazing abilities and competitive spirit. So it’s no surprise that fans can’t help but wonder what it would be like if some of these legends teamed up or played against one another.

Michael Jordan is the GOAT to most fans of basketball, but there is a sizeable minority that argues LeBron James’ case as the greatest ever. While this debate isn’t entirely that close yet, following Stephen Curry’s 4th championship and Finals MVP, conversations have begun about whether he is the greatest point guard of all time.

That title is currently held by Magic Johnson, who also revolutionized the game as a big guard in the 80s and was responsible alongside Larry Bird and later, Michael Jordan, for catapulting the NBA into the big leagues. So when an Instagram page asked which duo would win, MJ and Magic, or LeBron and Steph, there were some interesting answers from fans.

“Magic & MJ would win 10 championships no bs.”

“Any team Jordan on winning…Chitown all day baby.”

“LeBron feeding passes to Curry and vice versa is simply unstoppable.”

“LBJ & Steph, cause they make their teams better.”

“MJ and Magic the league wouldnt let happen. They would be unbeatable.”

“Magic & Mike, all day long. Greatest Player + Greatest PG to ever play the game.”

“I ain’t go lie I’m say Bron n Curry cause the other team couldn’t shot three’s in we all kno how Curry can come up.”

“MJ in purp and gold lowkey hits.”

“Top has better shooting but the bottom has Mike.”

“Magic and Mike have more rings than them other two boys.”

“It really depends on the era we in.”

There’s really no way to accurately say who would win, but many seem to think that MJ and Magic would take the win in this scenario. Both duos have their merits, but it’s hard to argue against the greatest player of all time, even if it’s LeBron James and Stephen Curry on the other side.
