NBA Fans React To Andre Drummond’s 2K Glitch Play

It goes without saying that Andre Drummond is one of the best – if not the best – rebounders in the league. He’s been leading the NBA in that regard for years, and he’s made great strides to improve as a rim protector and pick-and-roll defender as well.

If we talk about his best traits, obviously rebounding should be at the top of it. Then, we can talk about his improved game in the post, his ability to finish with both hands, swat shots, and improved basketball IQ, especially as a rim runner.

Then again, we would never think of him as a guy with solid handles or the kind of player that we’d like to put the ball on the floor and try to create something out of nothing. That’s just not his game and, honestly, it’ll likely never be.

That’s why it was so hilarious to see him star in an NBA 2K kind of glitch play last night when the Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Memphis Grizzlies. Drummond got the ball in the elbow with a long shot clock. He stood there waiting for someone to get the ball back and Memphis did a great job of denying his teammates.

Andre then decided to take matters into his own hands and attack the rim. He put the ball on the floor and – unsuccessfully – attacked Jonas Valanciunas. When he stumbled upon the Lithuanian, he tried to lob the ball to himself or throw a layup, up to this point, we still don’t know what he tried to do. Needless to say, the fans had a lot to say about it.

All jokes aside, I think every basketball fan in the world deserves an explanation from Drummond right now. We just can’t live without knowing what he tried to do right there.
