Joining the Miami Heat was arguably the best decision of Jimmy Butler’s career in the NBA. Prior to joining the Heat, Butler was seen as someone who ruined locker room chemistry. But since his arrival in Miami, he has received nothing but love from the fans.
The 33-year-old led the Heat to the NBA Finals in 2020. It was the first time that the Heat qualified for the NBA Finals after the Big 3 era was over. Although Butler couldn’t carry the Heat to the NBA title, he has certainly kept them as one of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference since his arrival.
On top of that, Jimmy is now well-loved among NBA fans. Of course, his ability to play basketball is crucial to that, but his off-court demeanor has also helped him become popular among fans.
Jimmy Butler Has A New Hairstyle
The NBA media day allowed fans to learn a lot of things about their favorite players. Similar was the case with Butler, but he surprised fans with a new hairstyle which fans roasted.
He revealed the reason why he did so was to make the internet mad and succeeded in doing so, as fans couldn’t come up with a valid reason for Butler having such a comical hairstyle.
"I'm just messing with stuff to make the internet mad. That was my goal this summer and it worked."

“I don’t have any extensions, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Uh, I don’t know. It’s still up for debate if I’m gonna keep my hair like this, they’re not extensions. Who knows? I’m gonna try out a lot of new looks. Y’all like my baby-faced assassin look? Kinda cute, isn’t it? I really don’t know, I haven’t even thought about it. I’m just messing with stuff to make the internet mad. That was my goal this summer and it worked.”
Well, that’s not the end of it. After hearing Butler’s reason, many fans called him out for making this up, whereas in reality, he genuinely thought it was a good hairstyle.

He did something goofy, got roasted, and now he's trying to act more clever than everyone, like if you wanted dreads to stand on it

Some folks try and get better in the off season, and some folks wanna troll the internet. Might be why Giannis has a ring and Jimmy doesn't. Might be.

Whether Jimmy planned this answer or not, it doesn’t really matter a lot. After the NBA media day, the 2022-23 NBA season is closer than ever, and his focus will now be on helping the Heat win the NBA title. Considering the competition in the Eastern Conference, it will be easier said than done for Butler and the Heat to put together a championship run.
