Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest professional boxers of all time, but he is also incredibly passionate about basketball. Pacquiao was head coach and player for three seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association and even founded his own semi-professional league called the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) in 2017.

The league turned professional last year after it was granted permission and Pacquiao remains the CEO to this day. He also has some big aspirations when it comes to the NBA, having previously expressed a desire to own a team in the league.

Nothing has happened on that front just yet, though. In the meantime, Pacquiao has been playing some basketball as he recently suited up for the All-Star Executives Game in the MPBL. With his team trailing by 3 points, Pacquiao dribbled up the court and drilled a three-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game.

NBA fans were hyped to see Pacquiao drill the clutch shot.

“Manny more clutch than most NBA players damn shame”

“@Lakers y’all seeing this? Add him to the squad!”

“2k gotta add this shot form”

“PacMan “

“That’s Manny Curry “

“Luv this ! pac man !! For 3 at the buzzer !!”

“I’d pay to see him vs Floyd 1 on 1 “

“champ pulled up from 40 and laced it “

“SENATOR PACQUIAO FOR THE THREEEEEEE “

“Better shot than Westbrook “

“This boy can do it all “

“Manny is really a Filipino folk hero “

“Idk why but this funny as hell for no reason “

“This man does what he wants ahaaaa”

“Boy a sniper !”

” OG Manny from the parking lot”

“Pacquiao still putting on a show lol”

“MANNY BUCKETS!!!! “

“a politician, boxer, & basketball player this man is unstoppable”

“the kings could use some shooting”

That is a wild jump shot, but it went in, which is all that matters. Pacquiao’s team was down 29 points at one point as they were losing 53-24 but he willed them back in the game with a team-high 30 points. He sank four 3-pointers in the process and also grabbed 8 rebounds.

There was no overtime actually, so the game ended in a tie, but what a way to end it, with a shot like that. Pacquiao didn’t play in the last All-Star Executive Game held in 2020, but he made up for it with this spectacular performance.
