We are just over a year away from seeing Victor Wembanyama play in the NBA, and time can’t pass quickly enough for it. The young Frenchman is a generational talent, and fans have been salivating at the prospect of seeing him on an NBA court.

He stated last month that the two NBA stars his game closely resembles are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant, which is a fair assessment. If he becomes anywhere close to as good as those two, then he would have justified all the hype that is coming his way at the moment.

NBA Fans React To Victor Wembanyama’s Latest Highlight Reel

Wembanyama couldn’t suit up for France at EuroBasket 2022 as he was recovering from an injury, and he might be missing out on a gold medal as they have made it all the way to the final. He is healthy now, though, and a video recently went viral of him dominating on the court.

NBA Fans were in awe as they reacted to his latest highlight reel.

“the tanking jobs we about to witness around the league is gonna be generationally shameless”

“That shake move…”

“The half spin fadeaway tells me all l need to know – kid is going to be a problem.”

“GOAT potential”

“There are 26 or so NBA teams that would be completely justified in waiving their entire roster for the 14% chance at this guy”

“definition of hitting the genetic lottery”

“S**t he basically gets to do whatever he wants on the court”

“This man has the potential to be best basketball player of all time”

“He’s gonne be like kareem, hakeem or wilt “

“This looks so fake lol can’t believe a human like this exists”

“This has been known, fam is a “

“OKC trading all their first rounders for him”

“If he gets that Giannis build it’s over”

“I swear he is the real life version of a created character on NBA Live. Measurables and all..”

“dear lord, how are you stopping this?”

“Wow. With that length, athleticism, handles + shooting…he will be a NIGHTMARE!”

“I wish the bulls would tank this year He’s worth the tank”

“He like Rudy Gobert with guard skills. Crazy”

“One man wrecking crew”

“Man bout to kill the league lol”

The talent is clearly there to become one of the greats, but he does need to bulk up a bit when he comes into the league. As one fan points out, if he has a physical transformation like the one Giannis had after entering the league, then it spells trouble for everyone else.

Some team is going to be incredibly fortunate to land him next year, and we can only hope that they help him develop in the right way. He might well be the greatest prospect to enter the league since LeBron James, and we hope to see him dominate on the court for a very long time.
