We are just over a year away from seeing Victor Wembanyama play in the NBA, and time can’t pass quickly enough for it. The young Frenchman is a generational talent, and fans have been salivating at the prospect of seeing him on an NBA court.
He stated last month that the two NBA stars his game closely resembles are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant, which is a fair assessment. If he becomes anywhere close to as good as those two, then he would have justified all the hype that is coming his way at the moment.

Wembanyama couldn’t suit up for France at EuroBasket 2022 as he was recovering from an injury, and he might be missing out on a gold medal as they have made it all the way to the final. He is healthy now, though, and a video recently went viral of him dominating on the court.

The talent is clearly there to become one of the greats, but he does need to bulk up a bit when he comes into the league. As one fan points out, if he has a physical transformation like the one Giannis had after entering the league, then it spells trouble for everyone else.
Some team is going to be incredibly fortunate to land him next year, and we can only hope that they help him develop in the right way. He might well be the greatest prospect to enter the league since LeBron James, and we hope to see him dominate on the court for a very long time.
