NBA players are more than just athletes, they are figures in pop culture. Even if someone doesn’t watch basketball, they’ll know the biggest stars of the sport by their popularity superseding the sport. Stephen Curry is a prime example of the same.

Curry has been married to actor Ayesha Curry (née Alexander) since 2011, and they have three children together. Fans were upset with Ayesha after she jokingly tried to take off her wedding ring on a show after a shirtless man came out to the stage.

One fan compared it to LeBron James and Savannah James’ relationship.

Some fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

A fan wondered why she even felt the need to react like that.

More fans attacked her and called her a weirdo.

For all the Succession fans out there, one fan compared it to the on-screen relationship between Shiv Roy and Tom Wambsgans.

Fans continued to be shocked at what she did.

While I understand Stephen Curry fans being upset over what Ayesha Curry is doing, it is simply not that deep. Curry is definitely in an incredibly secure relationship with a family. Even if jokes like this from Ayesha come across as not tasteful, basketball fans on Twitter need to stop overanalyzing moments between other grown adults.

Stephen Curry Facing Uncertainty In Golden State

Stephen Curry will likely retire as a lifelong Golden State Warrior. The larger question is whether Golden State will continue providing a competitive framework for Curry to compete for titles within the final years of his career. He will turn 36 years old by the end of next season, so there’s no guarantee on how much longer he will be dazzling crowds on the court.

Curry averaged 29.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists during the regular season and 30.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in the playoffs this season, including a sensational 50-point performance in Game 7 against the Kings to save the Warriors’ season.

Longtime teammates Draymond Green and Klay Thompson could both leave at the end of next season, and the team was convincingly eliminated in the second round of the playoffs this season. They don’t look like the 2022 champions and have a lot of volatility in their squad with Jordan Poole and Jonathan Kuminga.

Moves to reshape the competitive window around Curry will be imperative for Golden State, as he hasn’t faced uncertainty like this about the competitive quality of his squad while healthy since the early 2010s.
