NBA Fans Still Don’t Think Stephen Curry Is The Greatest Point Guard Of All Time: “He Will Never Be Better Than Magic Johnson”

Stephen Curry truly showed the NBA why he is one of the best players in the league as he led the Warriors to their fourth title with a Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics. Scoring a game-high 34 points to close out the series, Curry proved why his doubters were wrong not to trust him and the Dubs.

Given how impressive Curry was in the playoffs and especially against the Celtics, many have claimed that Steph might be up there among the best point guards to ever play the game, and given his incredible list of accolades, it is unsurprising to see why.

But a post claiming that Curry is the best point guard of All-Time has gone that well with NBA fans all around the world.

True or False:

While the 34-year-old was easily the standout player in the Finals, many fans still feel that a 4th title and a Finals MVP trophy are not enough to propel Steph above Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

With 4 titles, 2 MVP trophies, and a single NBA Finals MVP to his name, Curry might be boasting a great list of accolades, but it certainly pales in comparison to that of Magic Johnson.

Magic, despite retiring at the age of 31, boasts an incredible list of accolades winning 5 NBA championships, 3 MVP trophies, and 3 Finals MVP trophies as well. Not to forget, the Lakers legend is still the youngest Finals MVP in league history.  If not for an unfortunate illness, Johnson could have had some more additions to his illustrious list.

But not to take anything away from Curry, the ‘Baby Faced Assasin’ has yet again shown that age is just a number becoming the 6th oldest Finals MVP in NBA history. Not only that, the 8-time All-Star has shown that he is still capable of putting up MVP-esque seasons averaging 28.7 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game for the last two seasons.

Given how on-par he still is with the rest of the league’s superstars, it won’t be a surprise if Curry ends up adding some more achievements to his list. Can Stephen Curry become the best point guard of All-Time? Only time will tell.
