NBA Media Couldn’t Believe Refs Didn’t Call The 6th Foul On Devin Booker

2 Min Read

Devin Booker starred in a controversial play on Wednesday night, where the Phoenix Suns succumbed to the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4 of the 2021 NBA Finals.

With less than four minutes in the 4th quarter, Jrue Holiday took off on a fast break; as he goes for the layup, Booker wraps him up, fouling the point guard. However, referees didn’t blow the whistle, leaving Book to play the rest of the game for free.

The good thing for the Bucks was that Giannis Antetokounmpo caught the ball and scored two points, but everybody knew the Suns shooting guard deserved to get the call and exit the game after recording his 6th foul of the night. Bucks fans couldn’t believe what they saw, attacking the refs after the play.

In the end, this didn’t have many repercussions in the game, but the NBA world wasn’t happy about it. Media members had something to say about this, flooding social media with their opinions on a very questionable decision by the refs.

As Frank Isola said, this shows that Booker is officially a superstar, and he’s getting that treatment by the refs. During his first playoff run, the young guard has been terrific, earning a lot of respect around the league.

Nevertheless, you won’t find many people that think he made a clean defense on Jrue Holiday.
