In the 2022 NBA Finals, Stephen Curry received MVP honors for his amazing shooting display. As he poured in points like it was nothing, the Warriors thrived and took home another title.

While some believe this was Curry’s last ride at the top, there is no denying what he was able to do this season and during these playoffs. After the series, even Andrew Wiggins could not deny what Curry was doing.

“I played well, but Steph is Steph. Steph is Steph—that’s one of the GOATs,” Wiggins said. “Well deserved. He put the team on his back. As soon as he steps on the court, there’s four guys guarding him.”

Steph’s impact on the floor is just ridiculous. Yes, his three-point shooting ability allows him to rack up points quickly, but it also opens up opportunities for others on the floor and Steph has become pretty good at utilizing those opportunities.

Now, after winning his fourth Finals, Steph has put himself up there with some of the greatest to ever play the game.

“He’s definitely in the very rarified air,” Rudy Gobert said out at LAX just one day after Curry and the Warriors beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals. “He’s at the top of the list, for sure. I’m happy for him. I think he changed the game.”

Steph has changed the game in more ways than one, and we are seeing how different it has become. As the leader and face of new-age basketball, Steph is obviously an important and highly beloved superstar for the Warriors.

It’s only fitting that he plays the hero in the Finals and locks up Finals MVP in a year nobody had them winning it all. All that’s left to do now is wait and see if he does it again.
