Caris LeVert Out Indefinitely After MRI Reveals Small Mass On Left Kidney, Says Shams Charania

2 Min Read

Caris LeVert was one of the pieces in the most recent, four-team blockbuster trade for James Harden. The Indiana Pacers took on Caris LeVert, and he was primed for a nice season with them. However, an MRI during a physical revealed something that might cause LeVert to be out for the season.

Shams Charania reported that Caris LeVert is out indefinitely due to there being a small mass on his left kidney. It must be scary to think about what would have happened if LeVert never got traded.

Caris LeVert is one of the premier young talents in this league. It hurts to see LeVert be out. The implications of the diagnosis are big: Caris LeVert will have to undergo more tests, but a kidney mass is no small deal. We have to give credit to the Pacers’ medical staff as well, for finding this out and notifying LeVert and his family.

As fans, people never want to see a promising talent get injured. Hopefully, we see LeVert play basketball again soon and recover fully before he does so. Ideally, we see LeVert bounce back and hope that the mass isn’t extremely serious. But for right now, we can’t do anything but wait. It would be amazing if LeVert comes back stronger than ever.
