NBA players, past and present, have to deal with a lot of criticism and ridicule from fans on a regular basis. This ridicule has only increased since the advent of social media, as fans now have a direct channel of communication with players online.
A lot of times, players choose to ignore the fans who are trying to take shots at them. But every once in a while, a player will choose to respond and shut down these fans.
That is exactly what former NBA player Chandler Parsons did. A fan online mockingly asked Chandler Parsons what he has done with the money he 'stole' from the NBA during his career, suggesting that he didn't deserve the money he made during his stint.
Parsons hilariously responded with just two words, noting that his finances have only improved, while not giving any direct response to the fan for undermining him.
Parsons could have very easily taken a shot back at the fan, but chose to just poke fun at go along with his joke. Parsons had a fairly short career in the NBA, only playing for 9 years before announcing his retirement officially earlier this year.
Parsons struggled with many injuries during his time in the NBA and wasn't able to contribute at a very high level because of them. It was a tough journey in the NBA for Parsons, as it never quite got going.
Parsons' car crash in 2020 was the injury that eventually put an end to his career. But he seems to be content with his life right now, and also jokes about his stint in the league on some occasions.
A few months ago, Parsons jokingly thanked a Grizzlies executive for his massive spending spree in which Parsons was offered a massive contract in 2016. Parsons clearly has made peace with his turbulent stint in the NBA.
