Charles Barkley is one of the most beloved former players in the NBA right now, thanks to his outspoken personality and the way he says things no matter who’s in front of him. Chuck has become a big source of entertainment for fans more than an analyst, as his takes on NBA-related matters always bring fun to the community.

The former NBA MVP has never been shy to voice his opinion on everything, and call out people when he feels they’re doing something wrong. This includes everybody and not even his family is safe from that.

Chuck can easily criticize NBA players, but he can do it more easily when it comes to his family. The Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns legend once revealed what he would do with his money before he passed away, taking a big shot at his family members.

Charles Barkley Takes A Big Shot At His Family

During a conversation with Golf.com, Barkley told Phil Mickelson what he’d like to do before he leaves this world and why he wouldn’t want to leave his then $50 million fortune to his family. While explaining that he was an avid fan of gambling, he mentioned that he’s taken care of his family and wouldn’t like to give them any more money.

Barkley mentioned how lovely the view was at the par-3 18th finisher, and Mickelson asked if that was because you could see the casinos in the background.

“Listen, everybody knows I like to gamble,” Barkley said. “I wanna be dead broke when I keel over, Phil. I don’t want to leave all that money for my free-loading family. I’ve been taking care of them my whole life. I wanna be dead broke at my last breath.”

He was kidding. We think.

Chuck is a man of strong opinions and we don’t think he was kidding here. This was before he signed a massive new contract with TNT to remain one of the faces of Inside the NBA, so you know that now it will be more difficult for his family to see any money from Charles.
