Generally, for a team to become an NBA dynasty, some level of front office help is required. Obviously, championships are won by players, but having a good front office oftentimes helps superstars win.

The Golden State Warriors are the most recent NBA dynasty, winning four championships during Stephen Curry’s tenure. Warriors president Bob Myers and owner Joe Lacob have done a fantastic job of filling the squad around the superstar point guard over the years, and they even have lottery prospects waiting in the wings for the future. In fact, Charles Barkley has claimed that Bob Myers deserves “credit” as he has made some good decisions, such as drafting combo guard Jordan Poole. C. J. Peterson of Sports Illustrated relayed the news.

During an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area during the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Gold Course, Barkley gave an abundance of credit for Golden State’s success to Bob Myers, the team’s general manager. He even said he’s one of the greatest things to ever happen to the franchise that’s turned dynastic under his leadership.

“Bob Myers has done a fabulous job,” Barkley said. “He won the Finals for those guys this year, going out and getting Andrew Wiggins. He was the second-best player. Jordan Poole. Otto Porter.”

“So, Bob Myers was the second-best thing to happen to the Warriors since Steph Curry the last few years,” Barkley said. “So, give Bob Myers some credit. And, obviously, Otto Porter played great. Drafting Jordan Poole. You talk about Steph and those guys, give Bob Myers a ton of credit. He deserves it.”

While Bob Myers has done a splendid job thus far, he has a tough task ahead of him. The Warriors will have to find a way to retain their core, and it’s been noted that they will suffer huge luxury tax penalties if they keep both Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole.

As of right now, though, it seems as though the Golden State Warriors are primed to be contenders once again next season. They have had an insane run with point guard Stephen Curry, and perhaps we’ll see them get back to the Finals next year.
