Chris Broussard Suggests Ben Simmons For Draymond Green Trade: “Ben Is A More Athletic, Younger And A Bigger Version Of Draymond”

Ben Simmons and his reluctance to not play for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2021-22 NBA season has become one of the biggest topics in this offseason. After being with the team since his rookie year, Simmons feels like it’s time to move on.

The only thing he is doing wrong is the way of expressing himself. He notoriously skipped training camp. He has cut contact with the organizations. To be honest, all these actions have done more harm than good to his reputation.

Of course, even among these shenanigans, many teams showed interest in trading for the young star. The Golden State Warriors are among them and have been in contact with the 76ers to acquire Simmons.

Unfortunately, the two teams have failed to reach an agreement time and time again due to the Sixers’ huge asking price. Now NBA analyst Chris Broussard has suggested a feasible trade for the two teams.

“If I’ve got Ben Simmons I don’t need Draymond Green. Ben is a more athletic, younger and a bigger version of Draymond. I think Ben would be tremendous in Golden State. Philly needs a leader on the court, you need a guy like Draymond.”

Recently, Kendrick Perkins drew a comparison between Ben Simmons and Draymond Green, where he claimed that the two are essentially the same players. But Simmons is younger and more athletic than Green.

With this potential trade suggested by Broussard, it could be beneficial for both teams. As he mentioned, Philly is missing an on-court leader right now. Green is just that and he is an excellent playmaker. Along with that, he can play elite defense as well.

On the other hand, the Warriors are looking to make a comeback in the upcoming season. Since they are in the Western Conference, the competition is at an all-time high. While the Dubs are still a contender for the title, adding Simmons to the mix will give them a huge boost.

If a trade happens between the two sides, it would be a huge one, and to acquire Simmons, the Warriors would need to give them a lot more than just Green. Draymond has been with the team his entire career and fans might not take it well if he is traded.
