CJ McCollum Laughs At Being Involved In Potential Trade For Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook has been involved in several trade rumors after he requested a trade from the Houston Rockets. Russ has seen how plenty of teams have inquired about his services and the media is already predicting where he could go play after his time with the Rockets is finished.

People are taking advantage of this situation and have started to create many rumors about Brodie. Recently, Nick Wright broke down the five best trades for Westbrook. The first one involved CJ McCollum and Zach Collins for Russ, but nobody was having any of that.

McCollum himself reacted to that option on Twitter, laughing at those moves, just like the rest of the NBA community.

Yeah nah he not wanted in Portland. Why would we want a bum we've eliminated so often.

— Collins (@Theonly37849972) November 13, 2020

Wouldn't even trade my Li Ning CJ shoes for Russ

Someone needs to be tested for illegal drugs. We schooled OKC and Houston most of the last two years when he played for them. We just need the same starting players on the floor for 90% of the season including the playoffs after a serious clinic on defense.

First of all, I wouldn't do this deal if my life depended on it, secondly…….Dame & Russ could NEVER, EVER play together!!!!! Russ is damaged goods, with a suspect jump shot( no jump shot, to be precise) who wants to run his own show, exactly why he will NEVER WIN A RING!!

NO ONE IN PORTLAND WOULD ACCEPT THAT TRADE LMAOOOOOO. We don’t want that guy that wants to be the main ball handler but can’t shoot and turns over the ball constantly. Never mind the fact that he would want to take the clutch shots just to miss. CJ>Russ easily for this team

Funny how people think teams are trading FOR Westbrook. Houston is hoping to get rid of him!!! They will be lucky to get anything just to get his contract off the books!

You gotta really have zero idea of what fans are like in Portland to make this suggestion
We wouldn't take Westbrook even if he was free. We rely too heavily on team chemistry to ever want him

It’s hard to see McCollum leaving the Portland Trail Blazers, not even if the prize is Russell Westbrook. He and Damian Lillard are the most important players on the team and there is no clear signal that indicates that the Blazers will get rid of one of them this offseason.

Westbrook has been linked with plenty of teams in recent times but the Blazers don’t appear to be one of them. McCollum is sure of his position with the team and nothing can change that in the near future.
