Kyle Lowry left the Toronto Raptors after many years playing there during the offseason. One of the greatest players in the history of the franchise, Lowry felt it was time to move on, as he signed with the Miami Heat. But Lowry still has a strong bond with the city of Toronto, including one of the biggest superstars in the world who is from that city.

Rap superstar Drake was spotted playing a game of 1 on 1 with Kyle Lowry after Lowry and the Heat was done with their game. In the video, Drake tried taking a three-pointer on very casual defense played by Lowry. But Drake proceeded to miss the shot, as Lowry went to go get the ball back. Clearly, Drake’s pick-up game, unlike his rapping, needs some work.

This isn’t the first time we have seen Drake play 1 on 1 in a video. A couple of months ago, Drake and fellow Toronto rapper Tory Lanez were playing 1 on 1 at his gym in his Toronto Mansion. And Drake was struggling to get past Lanez. So his chances again Lowry, a professional NBA player who has played at a high level, were always slim.

Drake is one of the biggest basketball fans in the world. He is often spotted at Toronto Raptors games, his hometown team. On top of that, he is constantly hanging out with some big-name NBA players like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and even more. And many NBA players are also big fans of Drake.

In fact, Kevin Durant once picked Drake’s ‘Crew Love’ as the song that best describes his game. On top of that, Kawhi Leonard was featured in the music video for his hit song ‘Way 2 Sexy’. Drake and NBA players have a special bond. But given that Lowry is considered the greatest player in Raptors’ history, and even helped bring a championship to the city, he and Drake would have a bond closer than most.
