Luka Doncic is one of the best young stars in the league, and he is already a top-notch superstar. He is an elite offensive engine, as Doncic is an elite playmaker while also being a three-level scorer. Luka Doncic averaged 28.4 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 8.7 APG while shooting 35.3% from the arc for the Dallas Mavericks during the regular season.

Warriors forward Draymond Green has recently admitted that Luka Doncic is his favorite player to watch besides Stephen Curry. Green referred to Doncic’s ability to score the basketball and get to his spot, noting that he was “different”. (23:00)

My favorite NBA player to watch besides Steph is Luka. Luka different. I mean, the way he sees the floor, scores the basketball, gets to his spot, his pace. It’s Luka for sure.

There is no doubt Luka Doncic is an enjoyable player to watch, as he has almost everything in his arsenal. He is clearly an extremely skilled player, capable of scoring on almost any defender.

The Dallas Mavericks got to the Western Conference Finals this year, and this is the furthest they’ve gotten in the playoffs during Luka Doncic’s tenure. They faced the Golden State Warriors at that stage of the playoffs. Luka Doncic actually praised Draymond Green at the time, claiming that Green is “unbelievable” and is the “key” to the Warriors.

“Obviously, Klay and Steph are incredible offensive guys, but I think the key to the Warriors’ team is Draymond [Green],” Doncic told reporters on Tuesday. “He’s just unbelievable. I really respect him and everything he does. Obviously, no disrespect, but he’s not the best offensive guy.

“But he impacts the game in every other category, so I really have a lot of respect for his game.”

There is no doubt that the matchup between the Mavericks and the Warriors was fun, even though it lasted only 5 games. Perhaps we’ll see more of this matchup in the future, and it’ll be interesting to see if Draymond Green can limit Luka Doncic’s offense when the teams play against one another.

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Houston Rockets big man Christian Wood this offseason, an addition that will likely make them a better team. Hopefully, the Mavericks are able to make the Finals over the course of the next few years, and Luka Doncic definitely has the talent to make it happen.
