Jalen Rose Praises The Young Talent In Today's NBA: "The League Is In The Best Position It's Been In Since Michael Jordan Retired... When You Guys Were Voting For MVPs This Year, No Kawhi, KD, LeBron Or Steph."

The NBA postseason is extremely exciting this year, with almost every team being able to boast a young star that has the potential to go to the next level. Ja Morant, Anthony Edwards, Trae Young, Jayson Tatum, and Luka Doncic, the list of the best players under the age of 25 is exhaustive.

LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard both won't feature, while Kevin Durant and Steph Curry have their work cut out for them to lead their teams back to the NBA Finals. That being said, in the regular season, a lot more stars that are in their prime or approaching it outshone the biggest names in the game today.

And Jalen Rose thinks this is a sign of very good things in the NBA, saying that this is the best time for the league since the retirement of Michael Jordan in 1998.

“I feel like the league is in the best position that it’s been in, since Michael Jordan retired. Just think about this – when you guys were voting for your MVPs this year, no Kawhi, KD, LeBron or Steph.”

Rose went on to elaborate on two young stars, in particular, highlighting the series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies as one of the most exciting matchups of the first round. This is in large part thanks to players like Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards.

“I wanna parachute myself into the Minnesota-Memphis series. The Grizzlies who outplayed expectations this year, became the number two seed. You guys mentioned the superstar that is Ja Morant – they’re now trailing in that series, to another young superstar Karl-Anthony Towns [and] Anthony Edwards, playing really well in that series.”

It's an exciting time to be a fan of the NBA, the level of talent across the league is as great as it has ever been, and the future promises to be incredibly exciting. This season is also an opportunity for some of these youngsters to show up and show out in the playoffs and put up big performances when it matters the most.
