Markieff Morris has reignited the beef with Nikola Jokic after tweeting some sort of update on his neck injury. The Miami Heat big man has missed the last 30 games of his team after Jokic shoved him from the back following a prior cheap shot from the 2020 NBA champion.
After Legion Hoops pointed out the number of matches Morris has missed with a neck injury, the player responded, calling Jokic a 'sloppy fat boy' to explain what kind of machine hit him.
“Ain’t s**t wild about it! It’s a real injury! Imagine having a 300-pound sloppy fat boy run full speed and make direct contact with your spine! I’ll be back soon like I said,” said the Heat forward on Twitter.
When people thought that was the end of it, the Jokic brothers fired back at Morris, sending a message on Twitter, telling the twin that he should be careful with his actions and words, trolling him and calling him 'cry baby' for not returning after a soft shoving by Nikola.
“YOU ARE LIE AND WATCH YOU SELF! YOU STILL HURT CRY BABY FROM BABY SHOVE !!,” the caption read.
The Jokic and Morris brothers made a lot of noise around social media following the incident between Nikola and Markieff. Jokic's brothers Strahinja and Nemanja created a Twitter account to respond to Marcus Morris and it looks like they'll do the same whenever somebody tries to mess with their brother.
Meanwhile, Jokic keeps playing at a great level, becoming an MVP candidate during the first months of the 2021/22 NBA season. He's one of the top candidates for the award and if the Nuggets manage to get into the top 4 in the West, he could win his second straight MVP award.
Heat and Nuggets won't face each other again this season, but they could meet in the Finals. If that happens, we could see another edition of the rivalry between the Morris and Jokic brothers.
