The Philadelphia 76ers have played pretty great this season. Their superstar center Joel Embiid deserves most of the credit for his efforts throughout the season. He has carried the team on his back in the absence of Ben Simmons.
Well, with Ben Simmons now gone from the game and James Harden’s arrival, most believe that they have a legitimate chance at winning the 2022 NBA Championship.
The first impressions of the duo have been pretty amazing, and they seem to be gelling well together. With that in mind, most expected them to win their most recent game against the Brooklyn Nets.
After all, the Nets have been going through a rough patch over the last few games. But they shrugged off that poor form against the Nets and comfortably defeated the 76ers. It was already an embarrassing defeat for the 76ers, but one thing made it even worse.
The Sixers’ franchise legend Julius Erving was present at the game. If a person of his caliber is present there, the players try to win the game for them. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case in this fixture.
Moreover, at one point in the game, Dr. J looked visibly bored while watching the game. So much so that he was using his smartphone during the game.

Upon seeing this reaction from Irving, fans spared no time in trolling the 76ers. Especially James Harden, who had a terrible match.

Let’s be honest, this was a shocking and embarrassing defeat for the Sixers. But considering how well they have been playing generally, they shouldn’t worry a lot.
All they have to do is find out the flaws from this game and try to rectify those flaws over the next few games. Because once the playoffs start, the margin of error will be very less for the 76ers.
