Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets faced Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in a rematch of their incredible second-round playoff series last night. And much like the playoffs last year, the Bucks escaped by the skin of their teeth with a win over the Nets. Both Giannis and KD played great, but one NBA analyst couldn’t help but take some digs at Durant’s expense.

After the game between the Nets and the Bucks last night, Nick Wright took to Twitter to talk about Kevin Durant. Wright noted that he felt sorry for Durant because he has been the 2nd best player in the NBA his entire career. Durant hilariously responded to Wright’s sarcastic sympathy, noting that there is nothing to feel bad about, as he is ‘the god’ and has an incredible life.

In response to that, Wright took to Twitter to question the dynamic between Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who he considered the two best players in the world. He asked what Giannis would be considered if Kevin Durant is a god. Durant destroyed Wright with his response, answering back that Giannis is also a god, and Wright could also be one, but he chooses to be a peasant instead.

Nick Wright: Honest question before bed… if KD is a “God”, what does that make

Kevin Durant: A god. Just like you are but u rather be a peasant

Wright has been needling Durant quite a bit recently when he sarcastically congratulated Durant for having one more 40-point game than LeBron James has 50-point games. Wright is a big fan of LeBron James and constantly argues that LeBron James is better than Kevin Durant.

Durant has never shied away from calling out the media, recently pointing out how he deserved more respect from insiders who were covering his free agency saga in 2019. KD doesn’t allow the media to speak on his name or spin a narrative that he doesn’t believe to be true, and consistently points out when he feels they are in the wrong.
